day 17 - small: healthy meals [3 ingredient pasta - turkey meatballs]

31 Days Index

If you read this post, you know a small way I try to be intentional is being particular about what I feed our family. One of our go-to favorites is this three ingredient pasta with Trader Joes's turkey meatballs. It's so good, super simple, and probably my hubby's fave.

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!!! (Womp.) ;)

Ingredients
1. Pasta Sauce (Note: I know that Ragu is not the healtiest/most natural version. And it bugs me that it's not...buuuuuut it was buy 2 get 3 free at the Teets. Couldn't resist that little dealio!)
2. 1 box whole wheat pasta (spaghetti/rotini/penne work great!)
3. Trader Joe's turkey meatballs

Directions

1. Cook your meatballs following directions on the package. I always pop ours into the conventional oven from frozen!
2. Get the pasta on the go! Bring that good stuff to a boil.
3. (Chillax for a few because the meatballs will be cooking for about 25 minutes.)
4. Pour tomato sauce into pot and simmer over the stove. Make sure this pot is big enough for the meatballs too! Use your discretion about how much sauce you want to use...depends on how sauce-y you want your pasta. :)
5. When the meatballs are finished cooking, pop them in the pot with the sauce. Let them simmer in this flavorful goodness together for about 10 minutes.
6. Strain your pasta and ration your portions onto your pasta plates!
7. Add meatballs and sauce to the pasta and enjoy! Easy peasy, supper yummy, hubby-approved dinner. Bam.

This meal makes plenty for us....I always send the leftovers with Mark for lunch the next day! :)

Have a lovely Thursday, dolls! The weekend is near...!
