Read these words from Isaiah 43 again:
Do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
Just a couple of weeks ago, I read these words as a part of She Read Truth's Lent study. The entire day's message screamed at me. Or at least that's how it felt. We didn't have anything worked out with our potential move back home yet, and I felt like my life completely up in the air. My heart was physically one place and mentally somewhere else.
But God drew me back home--not to Charlotte or to Wilmington--but to HIMSELF though these words. Oh, what comfort! What joy! What a great God we serve. The Word of God is living, and the peace it brings is real.
This has been one of my favorite days of SRT's Lent study so far, and I wanted to share it with you in hope it brings you some encouragement as well. Go ahead and read it. Refresh your heart and spirit with the living Word of God.
