Hope and Spyros took their first solo trip (as in without more members of our family) down to Wilmy this weekend. The four of us had lots of fun doing...not that much. It was perfect. We had lots of quality time to catch up and laugh. Hope, Mark, and Spryos are hilarious together. It's highly entertaining for me. I sit back and giggle the whole time.
Here are some snippets from our simple weekend! :)
Hope joined me on Saturday morning to the fanciest little girls' birthday party I've ever been to! Downtown Darlings in Wilmington is fabulous. Hope and I agree that if this existed in our childhood, we absolutely would've partied it up here. Bring your [American Girl] doll, pick out a new outfit for her, have a fashion show, and eat cake in this fancy tent! Little girl dream world.
It was a gorgeous day, so we wanted lunch on the water at Oceanic.
Spyros and I had awesome steak & shrimp wraps. Hope & Marky had crab cake sandwiches. Yum!
Sista almost got thrown in... :)
A beautiful afternoon storm rollin' through WB
And since a storm rolled in and canceled our beach time, we went home and fit all 4 humans and 2 pups on our couch. I even caught a little power nap!
Saturday dinner was delish (and cheap!). Hope and I made pizzas while the boys watched their boy movie. TJ's organic crust pizzas for Spy and Mark; garlic naan pizza for the sistas!
Snuggly Doxie, my niecepup!
Sunday brunch -- chicken sausage, eggs, and Dunkin Donuts.
The pumpkin doughnuts were obviously the best.
We puprised Marky at his soccer game. He didn't think we were coming with the Panthers game on, but we snuck in at halftime and even saw this defender score a goal! #proudwifey
Family time is simply the best, isn't it? We're already looking forward to heading back to Charlotte in a couple of weeks to see the fam again!
Happy Monday!
