Everything is officially official...signed, sealed, delivered...we are HOMEOWNERS! [Read the story of our first home here.] I have visions of making this house our home. I want it to reflect us, purpose, our beach life (and "beachy" personalities), and simplicity.
Here are a few projects I cannot wait to get underway...all thanks to Pinterest.

KITCHEN
Disclaimer: remember that this is (p)inspiration. Our kitchen will not be this fancy or ginormous. ;)
Things I can't wait to do to our kitchen:
- Paint cabinets WHITE!
- Add a white backsplash
- Ditch linoleum countertops.
- Put in new hardware just like in the picture below!
- Oh, and hardwoods. Add hardwoods in the kitchen (and beyond). I'm swooning over the color of the hardwoods in this pic too!

SHOE STORAGE
My new closet has a wall that's possibly screaming, "insert this shelf from Ikea for your shoes!" I think I just might have to make this happen [eventually].

LAUNDRY ROOM CUTENESSWhy, yes. I am absolutely over the moon excited that I have a laundry room. And, as I fold, I intend to make it cute and happy looking in there. The blog linked to this orignal picture has the BEST on a budget ideas. I mean, I'm happily cheesing over the "Just remember God separated light from dark" printable you can partially see on the far right! Yes, please.

WET BAR
This one is super far down on our makeover totem pole, but we do have a wet bar that will be fun to accent with DIY upgrades. Someday down the road we'll figure out how to add a mirror to the back and some glass shelving as seen below!

Frankly, my dear...you should pop over here to visit my sweet sponsor, Jenni! |
Your colors are a toned down version of the blog! Which means you can live with them and you love them. I've been loving see you pin on pinterest ;) and those hardwoods are to DIE for...the color is sooo rich and lovely.
ReplyDeleteLoving your colors! We have a very similar color to the seafoam green in the main areas of our home but its more towards the blue side rather than the green! And don't even get me started on the kitchen! That is exactly what my dream kitchen looks like! So happy for you and your husband!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous weekend!
xo

But, patience & time helps make the best decision that I might not have made in the beginning so, it's all worked out! So excited for you & Mark though!! Can't wait to see more of the house!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the home! I love all your ideas! I can't wait to see how it all comes out!

ReplyDeleteSeaside neutrals, that will be perfection! Love the hardwood in that kitchen pic. And i love white cabinets! I think you wouldn't want your closet screaming, might keep you up at night - so I'd definitely get that ikea shelf soon =) Cutest printable ever!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Fabulous pins! Having a house you can do whatever you want to is so much fun! You will make it gorgeous! xo
ReplyDeleteCongrats on officially being a homeowner! Love all of your pinspiration pics :)
ReplyDeleteLOVING all of your Pinspiration! I can't wait to see what you do with your new home :) I can't wait to someday make over our laundry room...funny how we can be excited about a laundry room, huh? :)
ReplyDeleteLoving all your ideas especially the kitchen! I want one just like that picture! Can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteI love all your ideas and inspiration! Thank goodness for Pinterest! :)
ReplyDeleteLoving all of your inspiration! I think adding hardwoods throughout will be so worth it! We're still renting, so we can't change things, but our house has white linoleum in the kitchen and bathroom. It is an absolute nightmare. It takes forever to clean and stays that way for about 0.00000005 seconds.
ReplyDeleteLoving that white kitchen! And the hardwoods. AND THE SHOE CLOSET!!
