The Perfect Holiday Gift with Royal Scout & Co.
The packaging alone...! I'm a sucker for the logo. And the twine. And the plaid. Ahhhh!
(I have to add that I'm also obsessed with their brand as a whole! Read more about Royal Scout & Co. here.)
That texture! About as beautiful as it gets. This is why they call it luxe faux fur. It's every bit of luxe! I chose the "wolf" color.
Here's how it works: thick, faux fur outside and a soft, velvety inside. There's even a slit in the middle so you can loop one side through the other as seen above. Perfection!
But that's not all because...boot cuffs. Say whaaat? These add a little flair to your old boots. Yep, boots with the fur. Except they're really just boots plus boot cuffs with the fur. Let me explain...
Faux fur attached to a sock top! Slide these over your skinnies, slip on your boots, and voila! You have a whole new, cozy look for the colder temps. How great is that?!
These are my old, haggard Jessica Simpson boots from years ago. They've got a whole new feel to them with this extra rustic-yet-chic-and-girly spunk. I am loving it! And now I want to go back to the mountains where it's cooler and where these around immediately!!!
Royal Scout & Co. absolutely rocks (obviously!!!), so they're doing two things for Cheers Y'all readers. 1) There's a boot cuff giveaway! See below to enter. 2) Today through next Friday, you can get 15% off your order using code ROYALCHEERS at checkout. Their products are one size fits most and made in the good ol' USA! Start your Christmas shopping now, y'all! Snag these while they're hot (& 15% off!)!!!

Why We Skip the Gifts...

Is it normal that Mark and I skip the gifts for our birthdays/holidays more often than not?
Scratch that. It doesn't matter that it's normal. It matters that it works for us. And it does, indeed, work for us.
I've mentioned before that Mark and I are both rather frugal. We're both savers and beyond the basics like groceries and toiletries, we don't feel tempted to shop a lot. But it's more than that. I think the reason this non-gift-giving-thing works for us is because of our similar love languages. (Do you know about those? Totally browse the site if you don't -- so fascinating and so true. Better yet, take the quiz to find out about yours ranked from 1-5!)

Mark and I have the same #1 ranked love language (touch) and #5 ranked love language (gifts). [How cool is that?! I love it so much.] Our #2-#4s differ a little bit, but all in all, it's pretty dang cool that we feel most loved the same way, and we're both fairly impartial to gifts. Does that mean we don't like giving or receiving gifts? No! But in our relationship with each other, this is something it's okay for us to skip over. Without anyone's feelings getting hurt. (Seriously.) And without anyone saying "don't-get-me-a-gift-but-really-if-you-don't-get-me-one-I'm-gonna-be-upset." :)
So this birthday--since our birthdays are 4 days apart--we'll exchange cards. Just as we have for most other birthdays and holidays in the past. Truth be told, I just always request for my card to be filled with an extra long note. (Can you guess what my #2 love language is?) ;)
What about you? Do you and your love speak the same love languages, or do they totally differ? I'd love to hear more!
You are loved!

The Gift That Gives Back: Mission Cute
There isn't much better than a gift that gives back, right?! That's why we all love companies like Toms. Now there is a monthly box delivery company that gives 50% of net proceeds to nonprofit organizations. 50%! That's so awesome!
So here's what's up: Mission Cute is the jam. You can sign up for a monthly box and know that your money is also benefiting others, all while supporting local artists and shop owners. (I love buying local/small!) Supporting a cause AND small businesses while getting cute stuff?! PERFECT GIFT...for someone else or for yourself!
Whether this is a last minute Mother's Day idea or a birthday gift for girlfriends throughout the year, count on Mission Cute as "Etsy in a box!" [as my friend Nina said]!
Here is what April's box looked like:
Hello, darling packaging!
There is a phamplet that explains the nonprofit to which 50% of this month's profits are headed.
April's nonprofit partner was Girlfriends Giving Circle. Read about the other nonprofits supported thus far here.
Here are the items from the April box. I brought the necklace on Hope's bachelorette weekend!
| This item is my favorite. A candle in a mason jar with a NC tag? Swoon. Not to mention how delicious it smells! |

| So what now?! Join Mission Cute by May 10 to receive May's box of goodies! You can purchase one box for $39/box, 3 months of boxes for $34 a box, or 6 months of boxes for $29 a box! It's the perfect one time gift or fun subscription service. Whether your box is for you or for someone else, it feels fabulous to support a company with strong values and a passion to serve others (monetarily and physically). |
Cheers to Mission Cute!
Disclosure: I was given one free box in exchange for a post on my blog. All opinions expressed are strictly my own.
