Wilmy Weekend

We are coming off one wonderful weekend filled with wonderful friends. I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story of our cold but cozy weekend together!

A clean house and a Friday night agenda of staying in!

Friday night sunset in our neighborhood as I headed to Food Lion on a beer run.

The coziest dinner of all Lizzie's chili and cornbread!

It's absolutely the best veggie chili ever...recipe here!

I happily whipped out our holiday/winter placemats. :)

I spy a tinypup patiently waiting for the arrival of her boy(friend)s!

Guest room ready for guests...before we get to making it into a nursery in the coming months!

Using the bump as a pup bum pillow...? Tina!

 Mark pleased with his handiwork.

 Wally and Tina: reunited

Wanting me to open the door to the guest area circa 6:40am on Saturday morning.

Bundled up for cooold beach time.

 Modeling: Wally, Amelia, and Jake

Though I didn't fill up the rest of Saturday with pictures, we did enjoy dressing up and having a wonderful meal out at Circa 1922. Great company, good food, and fun times catching up.

On Sunday the fall decor came down, and the Christmas magic began.
I can hardly wait to get my hands on some freshly cut trimming!

And, as always, #tinainthemiddle.

P.S. If you haven't already, be sure to enter The Palm Tree Boutique's $25 giveaway! You don't want to miss the opportunitiy for some free goodies! :)

Hope y'all enjoyed the Polar Vortex bundled and snuggled up as well!

Nicole's Wedding Weekend

My best friend from college, Nicole, got married last weekend! It was an insanely gorgeous wedding weekend in every aspect: decor, bridal beauty, perfect fall weather, and changing leaves on the Blue Ridge Mountains as a backdrop. Below are pics from our amazing long weekend in Mount Airy, NC!

With Coley and Lizzie before the bridal luncheon next door at Coley's neighbor's house

Pilot Mountain as the rehearsal dinner backdrop at Jolo Vineyards

 The bride and groom!

 Girlies I love

 Cocktail hour setup

Dinner in this see-through tent among the vineyards was a spectacle.

Becca [of Rebecca Rose Events], my sweet wedding planner (and Hope's too!), also did Nicole's wedding!
She snapped this picture of what the tent looked like inside. :)

Aaand the 3 of us canoodled in Coley's bed circa 2:30AM on the eve of her wedding!!!!

The double decker bus they ordered broke down on the side of the highway...so the replacement was this RV turned party bus. We were not disappointed. (P.S./Disclaimer: My "beer" is an O'Douls. :))

My sweet Coley, the bebe (can't you see that growing bump!?), and me

Just a few moments before she walked down the aisle and became Mrs. Harrison!

Their names in lights...a suh-weeeeet part of the reception!
(I didn't snap anymore pics that night...I was busy eating, chatting, and dancing!!!)

With my sissy!! We took a break from the dance floor to send a quick pic to Mom. :)

The next day at Coley and Skyler's house while they were en route to the BVIs.
We sent them some happy snapchats from their den. :)

 The Morrisons :)

We certainly wrapped up wedding season with a bang. Seriously...Coley's brother even set up surprise fireworks to go off as they drove away!!! The weekend couldn't have been better, and [per usual when I leave my adopted hometown], I was sad to leave this small town full of some of my favorite people.

Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Harrison...who are currently living the DREAM in the BVIs! Love y'all!

Girls Beach Weekend

Via
"...whoever refreshes others will be refreshed."
Proverbs 11:25

In a word: refreshing. That's what this weekend was for us.
5 gals. (One dearly missed!!)
Lots of talking. Encouraging. Listening. Sharing life.
I am so thankful for each of these souls and how beautifully they have impacted [and will continue to impact!] my life.

FRIDAY
Of course we spent an hour sitting in the living room chatting after their arrival. We cooked up some Mexican for dinner and headed to the beach with a blanket and some cake balls to watch the sunset. It wound up being too cloudy to even see the sun, but we didn't mind. :)

They're here!!! (Minus Sarah who arrived the next morning!)

Cloudy evening on the WB South End.

SATURDAY
From breakfast to beach day!

It could not have been a more gorgeous day.
It seems like no pictures ever capture how perfect and turquoise the water is here in Wrightsville.

After several hours in the sun, I knew I wanted to take the girls to SurfBerry -- one of my favorite local spots on the island.
I have to keep spreading and sharing my acai bowl obsession. :)

Lindsay + baby girl Sadie are definitely new acai bowl fans.

After beachin' we headed home to get all dolled up and headed downtown.
Not gonna lie...getting ready all together in our master bathroom was oh so fun!!

I crushed on some of these treasures at Dang! Southern Chic in downtown Wilmy.

 Riverwalk sunset over the battleship

I so loved having these soul sisters of mine were in Wilmy, my "new" home!!!

When we got back home, we changed into our comfies and pretty much had a good old fashioned slumber party. Happy hearts.

SUNDAY
The ladies got back home to hubbies and kiddos that morning.
Tina was sad and wanted to snuggle for the rest of the day since her girlfriends were gone. :)

Hey! Where'd everyone go?

I hope your weekends were full of joy + refreshment too!
And--even more than that--I hope you have friends like these! Sisters in Christ. Distance has nothing on us. :)

Happy Monday!
