Fall Faves: Lace Hem + THE BEST Colored Jeggings
Lace hem is all the rage this season, and I'm all for joining in the fun. Marky took these photos for me during our little day date in his hometown. (This was a sneaky peek!) Put a long sleeve shirt under the sweater for more warmth, or leave it be for more breathability on warmer fall days. Oh, and white pants? Wear 'em after Labor Day. I love pairing these bright neutrals together. And the pants are my favorite. They have the material and appearance (and even the button) of white jeans but have no zipper. The best white jeggings on earth, hands down. My mom, sister, and I all have a pair because they're that good. I even wore them under my belly when I was verrrry (38 weeks) preggers!

Halloween PJ Round Up
Any suckers for holiday themed pajamas? I'll be the first to admit that I totally am. Cute kiddos plus seasonal pajamas make my heart go mush. I can't help it. Now that I'm a mama, you can find me perusing the Internet for this year's best Halloween pajamas. I've done the homework, so go pick your favorites and dress your littles in happy holiday perfection. Who's with me?! (It's okay if you're not. I can be the cray-cray pajama mama. I'm fine with it.)
SHOP THESE 'JAMS:
Oh, and in case you are wondering about the matching mama and daddy PJ set for that cute pink skeleton set above (it comes in black too), those are here (mom) and here (dad)...DO IT! Someone. Please.

The Palm Tree Boutique + Giveaway
Good morning! Today I am so excited to dish with you about The Palm Tree Boutique. My sweet friend April filled a sista in on much of their awesome inventory, and I am thrilled to have added a Palm Tree Boutique piece to my closet!
Meet the Let's Ride Moto Jacket. It's the perfect fall staple, the perfect brown color, and (most importantly!) I know I'll wear it for years to come. Guess what? You can also grab this similar one in black. Of course I have to add that I'm 100% pleased with the quality, the lining, and the thickness. When I say I will use it for years to come, it's because I know I'll be able to do just that!
That growing bump will probably hinder me from zipping this guy up in a few months, but there is always now...and next year. :)
I paired the jacket with a LBD and a plaid scarf, but I also can't wait to throw it on with a pair of jeans!
[LBD is Susana Monaco and scarf is from a visit to Scotland in 2009.]
And you have to see the fabulousness of it without the scarf too. It's edgy; I love it!
Here are some of my other favorites from The Palm Tree Boutique!
Now here is your chance to win a $25 discount code to The Palm Tree Boutique! Enter below. Can't wait? I don't blame you. Be sure to sign up for the boutique's email list to receive 20% off your first purchase!
Cheers to The Palm Tree Boutique!
Thank you for making my fall wardrobe a bit more fabulous!

5 on Friday | Cozy Things
ONE | "FANCY" COFFEE
Red cups (and a new drive-thru close to TJMaxx + Home Goods) have me craving Starbucks even more than usual. But that's just not practical in my frugal mcshmoogal world. So I settled on buying some whipped cream at the Teets. Add a little cinnamon on top, and voila! A fancy coffee from home.
Yesterday's at home coffee date with the hubs
TWO | WOOD BURNING FIRES
Marky and I have had more nights with fires this week than without! We're both excited about our "new" fireplace tools that we've compiled from consignment and Craigslist. All golden, all matching, all steals! That's how I roll.
THREE | AMELIA
Sigh. She melts me. I apologize in advance for how this will happen with our child too. But seriously? Her back legs under her chin and her front legs outstretched?! Crazy tinypup. She was dreaming in full force during this pic too. :)
FOUR | MARSHALL'S FINDS
A new Marshall's just opened dangerously close to our house. As in less than 2 miles. Eeeeek! I snagged these Pottery Barn-esque stockings this week. And I REALLY want to "need" these lamps. But I don't. I think. I'm still thinking about how to change that... ;)
In case you didn't catch it on Insta...the stockings are $14.99 A PAIR!
FIVE | CHRISTMAS CONUNDRUM
Everyday since November 1, I've battled the itch to bust out the Christmas decorations. I'm trying to hold out till mid-November, and there are a few things tying me over: listening to Christmas music, drinking that "fancy" coffee and hot chocolate with whipped cream/marshmallows, wood burning fires, flannel pajamas, and busting out last season's Tar-jay wine glasses. The struggle is real, folks. I stinkin' LOVE CHRISTMAS!

Paint Pen Pumpkins
I don't know about y'all but I wasn't ready to part with my uncarved WalMart pumpkins just yet. (Sidenote: who knew WalMart had such pretty pumpkins?! Anyway!...) I saw this picture on Pinterest from the Glitter Guide. Feeling inspired, I grabbed my trusty gold paint pen, and now these pretties are sitting beside our fireplace.
You could also do this with the fake pumpkins they sell at places like Michaels and Hobby Lobby. That way you could use them annually!
P.S. Confession: I feel like this post is a guise. The truth is that all weekend I've been asking myself the question, "So when do I bust out the Christmas decorations?"
P.P.S I never wait till Thanksgiving. Christmas is my favorite time of year...I have to have all my favorite decor out for longer than a month!!!!
Cheers to the season!

In Fall We...A DIY with Your Family Traditions
I got a little crafty this past weekend. After drooling over this fall post from Charming in Charlotte, one of my fave blogs to read, I knew I wanted to create little something special in our home. I especially loved the personalized chalkboard with her family traditions that hangs in her foyer. It [clearly] inspired me to take on the same project. Cheers for the inspiration, Mallory!
Since the chalkboard in our kitchen is my meal-planning menu (and I am actually using it this week!), I dug up this old frame from the garage. No really...I found it by a trash can at Wrightsville Beach Park one day, so naturally I snagged it, stuffed it in my trunk, and waited for the perfect inspiration to get crafty with it.
Materials
Old frame (find one at a thrift store...or splurge on a new one at Michaels using a 40% off--or actually it's 50% this week!-- coupon!)
White posterboard/thick, white paper(if needed)
Scissors
Scissors
Gold paint pen
Method
Cut poster board/paper to appropriate frame size.
Draft your doodles and ideas on scrap paper...start brainstorming!
In your best lettering, freehand your family traditions away. The more personal, the better!
Hang and enjoy. :)
I hung it in our teensy foyer. This space still needs lots of sprucing and attention (and is screaming for some flowers), but adding the frame helped merry up the empty wall effortlessly! I love walking by it multiple times a day everyday!
Now...what family traditions do y'all have in fall!? Do tell!
