TRUTH

This hits home with me. There is so much out there about "Do what makes you happy." "Follow your passions." Those sorts of things. Those are well and good, but I believe they should be secondary to this:

If you are a Believer and "what makes you happy" or your "passion" doesn't push you more towards Christ, perhaps there are some things you should reconsider! I say that in gentleness and in love. These words just made my heart sing thanks to Chloe at Beyond Blessed.

NOLA BOUND

I'm heading to New Orleans for the first time tomorrow. My longtime oh-so-lovely childhood BFF and her hubby have lived there for 2.5 years now, and I just can't believe I haven't been there to see them yet! Now is the time! I can't wait!! 

Another small reason I'm excited to be in New Orleans: watching Sean and Catherine's wedding with a girl. I know the hubby takes zero offense to that. Now I can squeal and ooo and aaa with someone who will humor me. :)

Pinterest Recipe Success: Chicken Florentine Lazy Lasgna

When I saw this recipe pin from Mix and Match Mama, I knew it wasn't going to sit untouched alongside the hundreds of others on my Pinterest recipe board. I wanted to fix this immediately.

2 days later, it was in the crockpot. And it did not disappoint.

I was definitely enticed by the word "Lazy" in the recipe title. To me this translated to: easy, simple, and (most importantly) I couldn't mess it up. Check, check, and check! And I, like most people, am a fan of anything in the crockpot!!

I followed Mix and Match Mama's recipe to a T...so that's what I'll share with you!

Here is the final product. It was hubby approved! He is already looking forward to me the crockpot making this again!!

Getting this in the mail was a day-maker. I adore this cute Valentine-y invitation and cannot wait to celebrate my sissy up north next month!

OMBRE TO BLONDE
Y'all, I am still getting used to my brown/ombre hair. I am/was reeeallllyy trying to embrace my natural roots. Until yesterday. When the hubby really was missing the blonde hair too. I don't think going through pictures for my Before the Blog posts helped (here and here).

So yeah. I made an appointment last night. Getting my hair done this morning. 

Quick decisions are always my jam. Bring on the blonde!! I'll keep y'all updated on Insta.
(It's winter...so I'm not going to go thaaat platinum. But I'm still PUMPED.)

PANTHERS

So it was a disappointing loss last Sunday...no doubt. But you can't say that the Panthers didn't bring it this season! Proud fan. Already can't wait till next season!!
