Birth Announcements with Minted

I am so excited to collaborate with Minted for Nancy's birth announcements! Minted is an awesome company, so these little works of art will undoubtedly be fabulous. Here are a few of my favorite designs. You'll easily get an idea of which design style I gravitate towards. Ohhh what a thrill to pair one of these with my favorite Cameron Faye Photography photo from our hospital shoot the day after Nancy's birth! Can you guess which design I chose?!

Baby Script

I had a lot of fun playing around with fonts (they seriously have the best fonts) to add an eensy bit of personal flare. I can't wait to show y'all the finished product after the cards are mailed and delivered to family and friends!

Full Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Minted; however, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

Had Me At Hello

Hello <3

No, really. All it took was a simple, "Hello!" and I was 100% in for trying this new kind of Lindt chocolate. First of all: chocolate. Duh...no brainer. Second of all: Lindt

Do y'all have special associations/memories with Lindt chocolate too!? Or is it just me? Lindt makes me think of Christmastime. My mom isn't a big chocolate person, but she always puts those perfectly wrapped, pretty Lindt spheres around the house for the holidays. So that's my food association. :) In our house, Lindt is for special occasions like Christmas. And even my not-so-chocoholic mama knows that Lindt chocolate is simply the best.

ANYWAY!
In comes a new kind of Lindt.
That should be eaten more than just at Christmas...

Yes, of course I assorted them in rainbow color order.
And "Where can I find this goodness," you ask? TARGET. Everybody's favorite place.

The richness of Lindt chocolate + these new flavors = the bomb.
Strawberry Cheesecake...
Caramel Brownie...
Cookies and Cream!?!...
Crunchy Nougat!!...
I MEAN.

It was such a pain trying them all. I mean, who wants to try ALL OF THE CHOCOLATE?!
I kid, I kid. It was a treat...in every sense of the word plus some!
And you want to know my favorite?!

Guess what that goodness is? Do you know, do you know?!
Cookies and cream. That's what's up.
It's like Lindt chocolate and Hershey's Cookies and Cream had a baby....and this was it.
And...really quickly...can we talk about the cuteness of the little chocolates!? Each break off piece of the bar either has hearts, says "Hello" with a heart, OR says "Nice to sweet you!" Love it. Presh.

Last fun thing: sweepstakes! Enter away to win fun prizes like a date night for you and your sweetie! There are new prizes every week...and good stuff too. Think spa day with your bestie or a shopping spree with your gals. Sign me up, right?! You can enter right here! :) [And it seriously takes like two seconds.] Also be sure to check out Lindt's "It Started With Hello" series on YouTube!

Tell me if you try this goodness! And if your favorite is cookies and cream like this girl! ;)

Because a HELLO with chocolate is ALWAYS a day maker in my book...CHEERS!

Operation Smile

Hey dolls!

On behalf of Campus Book Rentals [Sponsored Post*], I want to take a little time during this season of gratitude to share about an amazing international charity, Operation Smile.

Especially during this season, I find that there is a lot I take for granted. A whole lot! One of those is my health. Around our world, a child with a cleft lip is born every 3 minutes. Wow...every 3 minutes!! A cosmetic problem? Not in the slightest. 1/10 of those kids will not live to see their 1st birthday. This is serious stuff! Operation Smile explains more: "The children who survive are often unable to eat, speak, socialize or smile. In some places, they are shunned and rejected. And in too many cases, their parents can't afford to give them the surgeries they need to live a productive life."

Source

Reading these statistics reminds me of the lyrics in this song...it reminds me that God wants my heart to break for what breaks His!

With that said...what a better time to give than a season where we are all programmed to practice thanksgiving and gratitude. Operation Smile has a gift catalog (you can gift anything from pain medicine to a surgery to a mission!) for this special season. And if you're in college, grad school, or still textbooking it, know that Campus Book Rentals donates to Operation Smile with every textbook rented. (They've already donated over 1,000 cleft lip surgeries this year...and counting!)

Please consider your heart to give this year. In a time of want (I know I've made my Christmas list already...eeeek!), it's often to all too easy to overlook the simplest of blessings like a smile.

Give. :)
